In the pool today with Erna we got talking about Richard Scarry and relating the story about Richard when he was three years old and we were in Eugene, Oregon waiting in the car for Jim to finish his Doctoral oral exam. I mentioned to Richard that when he saw his Dad he would be a "doctor". Richard got very very excited and thought his Dad was going to be one of his favourite characters in the Richard Scarry books, "Dr. Bones". It took a while to explain it wasn't going to be the case. Ah...Huckle, Lowly Worm...brings back memories. Richard did love these books! I knew he was popular but a little amazed by how popular. A very good way to learn language. Quite an interesting story in Wiki.
