Happy 40th Birthday, Richard

It's hard to believe that 40 years ago today we were blessed with our wonderful amazing son,  Richard.  You have been such a joy to us and we love you very much.  Some memories in photos and home movies.  We've had a lot of fun together.
All our love,  Mom and Dad

This is an old Super 8 that I made on Richard's first birthday party when he was three.  I made it for his 23rd birthday when he was working in San Francisco.

Richard playing a gig in Victoria with his band,  Role Mach.  The band crashed at our place.  It was at Logan's Pub and we could hear the saxes when we were there but the video just seems to pick up Patrick,  the lead guy,  and the drums.  A friend of Richard's from his Silicon Valley days was there.  He made a killing being in on the beginning of eBay.  We bought him a beer...he didn't reciprocate.
