We rebooked our trip to Squamish but then cancelled since it seemed there was going to be wonderful beach weather here. Well, the "heat wave" doesn't seemed to have materialized so far but the smoke from the wild fires burning all over B.C. certainly did and so it hasn't been sunny. Then I booked a lunch cruise up Indian Arm but with the poor air quality and concern about Jim's lung issues we cancelled that. He's finally getting better so I didn't want to risk him getting worse with the poor air quality.
So, comfort food. Roast lamb the other night from Stepho's. Everything was particularly amazing. They are really doing the lemon potatoes well these days, very copious portion of lamb, and we always just love the ratatouille.
We went to Las Margaritas yesterday for lunch....always cheers us up. I had something different.
Enchiladas San Blas^
Two flour tortillas filled with a seafood mixture of rock crab, red snapper, shrimp, onions, tomatoes and cheese, covered with cream sauce, melted cheese and sliced avocado. Served with house salad and Mexican rice.
Jim had his usual...he couldn't ever not have his refried beans!
