A little taste of France yesterday

The Huxley Society has received very positive interest from the University of the South in Toulon (where Jim taught in the south of France) for the next Huxley Symposium and it would be a perfect venue since Huxley wrote Brave New World in Sanary,  one of our very favourite villages and where we've spent a lot of time.  Sanary is very close to Toulon.  One of the profs who is interested in organizing the conference was visiting family in Seattle so she came up to Vancouver with her daughter.  We had lunch with them at The Sylvia yesterday.  The daughter is currently doing a Ph.D in Paris in the field of aerodynamics.  We really enjoyed meeting both of them and talking about France.  The conference will probably take place in May 2020.  We plan on going and visiting all our old haunts in the south of France!
