Well, Jim loves the heat and it's been ok for what we've been doing. We met some more interesting people at our local pool yesterday. It's really nice that we now have yet another community of folks.
We met Wendy who is actually right across from us. She has owned here for a long time and rents out her place when she's not here so another contact. She does have regular people for Jan, Feb, Mar. She is now living in Camarillo, Ventura County. She lost her house in the Thomas Fire in 2017 (around Santa Barbara) and her husband died a month later.
She introduced us to David, who was prepareing a gourmet meal for friends. He is apparently a great cook. He is right off the pool and seems like a very nice guy. He was from Winnipeg where he was a lawyer prosecuting tax evaders...what...Canadians do that :)
Now he lives in Calgary.
Jim had a day of research and also marking for his Royal Military College gig and I went shopping at Steinmart's and got a few things I was happy with...a couple of t-shirts, a sweater, and some pants.
And then cold, cold, cold in Edmonton..looks like Roger and Kerry picked a perfect time to come to Palm Springs! It seems like it will be the coldest place on Earth...wow.
