As I mentioned in a previous blog I was very attached to these tea towels I bought in the Caruqueiranne Market and wanted to preserve them in some way. I just couldn't throw them in the rag bag. So I got this idea of making a collage.
I started with my favourite and used it as a "base" on a 14 x 20 canvas
Then I cut up the others and used white glue to paste them on. I put the scraps in the rag bag and will enjoy using these when I start painting. It's on my wall above my bulletin board. The eagle feather was given to me by a friend when I passed my Master's Thesis defence and the eye mask is from my dear friend, Elaine, with scenes of Paris and the words "I'm dreaming of Paris".
