Yvonne at the pool has been recommending the lunch buffet at the downtown PS casino so we went on Friday. We're not big fans of buffets these days and Jim ate too much and I had a bit of this and that and a bit too much variety for my stomach. For 10 bucks you really can't beat the value and we'll probably go again and restrict ourselves to a few things.
I'm not a great dessert person but I was impressed with the desserts. Mini portions so you could sample a few and the quality was good. I had creme caramel (they call it flan), fruit tart, chocolate covered pretzel, and chocolate crepe. I had a stir fry and probably would just do this next time and skip the noodles and have half the meat and more of the veggies. And perhaps a bit of salad and then the desserts. I also tried their roast beef and turkey which was good but even though I asked for small pieces, too much meat for me along with everything else.
I do find the whole casino scene rather depressing (what's with people sitting in front of these machines when it's a beautiful day outside!) but at least there is a spectacular view of the mountains as you walk in from the parkade. Next time I'll take some photos of that.
My stir fry being prepared.
