"Kingdom of the Blind" by Louise Penny
It's always such a pleasure to read Lousie Penny...wow... another woderful success! Just loved it.
I think why these books are so special is stated by Penny in her Acknowledgements when she talks about thinking she couldn't write another book after her husband, Michael, died since he was such a part of it all.
"I realized, too, that the books are are far more than Michael. Far more than Ganache. They're the common yearning for community. For belonging. They're about kindness, acceptance. Gratitude. They're not so much about death, as life. And the consequences of the choices we make."
