We lucked in with cooler weather in Palm Springs this May

From the Desert Sun:

"If you think it hasn't been terribly hot this May in the Palm Springs area, you're not wrong.
But if you think it's been unseasonably cool, you're not right.
The city's average temperature from May 1 to May 13 was 76.2 degrees, said National Weather Service meteorologist Mark Moede. That ranks as the 47th coldest May in Palm Springs since 1922, which puts it roughly in the Goldilocks zone of historical temperatures.
"It isn’t anything unusual," Moede said of the May temperatures.
Moede said that this month so far is the fourth coldest of the past 10 years. The coldest for the firth half of May was 75.8 degrees in 2010 and the warmest was 80.3 in 2013."
