Still batting a thousand....

I haven't written many letters to the editor but every one has been published. This time they cut it and left out  an important part of it.

My oringinal letter:

To solve a problem it is imperative to describe it accurately. Genocide does not describe what happened to Indigenous girls and women in Canada. Genocide happens when one group decides another group is so dangerous they need to exterminate them.  Indigenous girls and women were victims of systemic discrimination. They were considered so worthless, police resources were wasted solving crimes against them. Like genocide, these are also strong words but have the advantage of accurately describing the situation.
