We headed out early yesterday...well, early for us, to go to the Friends of the College of the Desert book sale. It began at 9am and we arrived just a few minute after that. We got good stuff there and then dropped into Rancho Mirage Library on the way back so I could pick up some holds and their program guide of events. We are especially looking forward to things related to the Observatory. I see they have two tours a day of the Observatory and it looks like viewing every night plus lectures.
I guess I'm not on the list to get notices about their book sales but as we arrived we realized it was the last day of their big sale and books were $3 a bag. We got three bags full! Amazing how much really good stuff there was and it was fun to do the bag thing. All the sales have it the last day but we've never gone back for it.
