Wonderful whirlwind visit to Victoria

We're at the ferry waiting to board the 3pm.  It's great to be able to post to my blog while waiting.

Yesterday I had lunch with Heather at the Ross Bay Pub and we had a great visit catching up on our news.  Jim had lunch with Nigel at the University Club.  In the afternoon Elaine and I got away for a swim at the Grand Pacific...like old times!

Then to Susan and Chris's for another gourmet dinner and super visit.  It was great to see them and we had a wonderful evening.  I was wondering how it would seem being back in our old neighbourhood and not walking next door to go home.  Somehow, it seemed like the most natural thing in the world.

This morning Elaine delivered muffins and the newspaper to our suite then we later had another visit before leaving to meet Derek and Mary for brunch at Ca Va Bistro.  Great brunch and super to see them as well,  especially Mary,  since we don't see her as much now that we are in Vancouver.

We had a wonderful time and thanks again to all our friends who made it so special.  We are very blessed to have such great friends....and who are also great cooks!

Chef Susan with her wonderful pork loin roast.

Seafood chowder done in the slow cooker...yum!

And for dessert....various things including lemon tarts from Pure Vanilla...I think everyone can  guess what I chose.
