"The Friend" by Sigrid Nunez
This novel annoyed me and delighted me. I could have done without all the "poor me, the writer" stuff but I did love the dog and the relationship with the woman (don't think she is ever named). The dog is called Apollo. It is a Brock House bookclub choice so I finished it. I probably wouldn't have but at least it was quite short.
My other bookclub is reading "Through the Looking Glass"...always a delight.
