Walking in our new hood...

We went to Burger King for lunch.  One thing about being here is local businesses mail coupons....so 2 Baby Whoppers and 2 small fries for $4.44.   And I needed to get shampoo from a salon in the area and also take in  some jeans to get a zipper and Jim,  of course,  had to check out if the thrift shop in Denman Mall had any books of interest.  He actually didn't buy a book but I did.  That's for another post.

He ran into a student who has taken all his classes and is taking his next one in May/June.  And then the woman volunteering in the thrift shop started a conversation and made a note of Jim's name and course so she'll be signing up.  She mentioned she was going to do the Stand-Up Comedy course so we had a nice chat.  Her name is Ann and it will be great to see a familiar face.  Linda can't come in the end as she has to pick up her grand daughter after school those days.

Jim was going to buy me some flowers but then I spotted this little palm tree...perfect with my lavender and cacti!
