A funny thing I remember is after a couple of years I had been at Shoreline, the typing teacher made a plea to the principal to be relieved of always having to take the minutes and write them up. The principal agreed to the logic and asked the women to do it on a turns basis. I took my turn but was determined the time my name came up again, I would say that I would take my turn again after all the men had done their turns. This was met with shock and dismay especially among the men. But one brave fellow volunteered and then all the men took their turn.
