Old friends…good times

Fern and Carole came over from Victoria Thursday and stayed overnight at The Sylvia.  Carole has long associations with The Sylvia as she used to spend time in the summer there as a child.  I gave Carole the "Mr. Got to Go" children's book based on a cat at The Sylvia and it has become a favourite story to read to her grandchildren.

We had a super visit here for lunch and dinner Thursday and they loved our views!  Then,  Friday,  we went for a drive around Stanley Park and then lunch at the Provence Marinaside and they were introduced to their fabulous fish soup….it was definitely a fish soup day.

Thanks so much, Fern and Carole,  for coming over.  Jim and I really enjoyed your visit.

Fern brought over this lovely little quilt she made…all my favourite colours!  And Carole brought a wonderful Oyster Bay Merlot.  It went wonderfully with the Fraser River Sockeye I had saved especially for dinner.
