So we went tonight and it was really fun….the sommelier is fantastic…just love her style. Wine snob she isn't but really knows her stuff and is funny and enthusiastic.

It happened to be a rather large group (around 40 women from a Vancouver club) and us…so Jim was the only man but managed. Usually it's a smaller group and not necessarily a club). So, three wines and three pairings of food…quite small for the food but enough to get the idea. That is from 6pm to 6:30.
Then we left that area to sit outside by ourselves and had some bites and some more wine. Very impressed by the "bites" which were really quite large for $5 and $6…you can even get the famous fish soup for a bite. We had 5 bites between us and we were full. Great wine list. Had this:
Alderlea ‘Clarinet’ Marechal Foch
2010 Vancouver Island, BC
Alderlea is a favourite vineyard of the Curlings and we have had great wines from there…this was no exception!

Good views of the marina from the restaurant.
In the Wine Bar you can order anything from the Provence Marinaside menu.
Jim among the many ladies…
Our tastings and wine pairings….an "amuse bouche" for the food but in the Wine Bar…really quite large…unreal for $5 & $6.
Our sommelier…I can see why everyone loves her.
