"Late Nights on Air" by Elizabeth Hay
We certainly had a lively discussion at our bookclub last night and pretty much a full turn out. It was great to see everyone.
I liked the book for a lot of reasons...wonderful lyrical descriptions of the north, interesting reflections, the Berger Inquiry was quite fascinating. While the characters were quite a mix of potentially interesting people that is where the book fell down I felt. They just weren't developed enough to really get involved with them. Also, so much foreshadowing of the accident that it was rather anti climactic in the end. Definitely worth a read, though.
