Pete McMartin wrote his last column in the Vancouver Sun today. I'll really miss him...he's the best thing about the Sun but I will continue to subscribe to print newspapers until they disappear but I'm betting I'll be gone before they go. I've always been an optimist!
I really liked what he said about his working life...pretty much summed up my teaching career.
"So, to be brief, all I will say of my working life was that it was a joy and a chore, easy and hard, exhilarating and mundane. I often loved it, and often did not. It was a job, and not a job."
