This is from Global News fairly recently. Obviously some great entrepreneur thought up this idea. We saw people wading through Venice with bare feet (it's very dirty water) and very expensive shoes and a lot of people with runners like we had. It was also raining when we were there and all the gondolas were tied up but you can't spoil Venice. The Vaporetto was running and that was fun.
We were in Venice in 2002 and we didn't see these boots being worn.
