Herons fledging the nest

We've been enjoying watching these young herons fledge the nest and testing their wings.  A good view from our balcony up on the 6th floor.  We didn't see this action from the mezzanine.  A part of their behaviour seems to be an aggressive facing off and poking each other...the two in the tree were doing this.
