Mounted Police mounted...
My little camera doesn't really do justice but not bad considering.
The water was just wonderful yesterday. We did wait until a little later in the afternoon and let the tide come in a bit...made a real difference.
Then, another spectacular fireworks display and a quiet night. Eight Mounted Police on horseback were around earlier in the evening and came down Beach Avenue after the fireworks. Also, a dozen police fanned out with flashlights in a line and "swept" everyone who wasn't moving off the grass, beach, road saying "The park is closed". Then the police boats and helicopter with searchlights making sure everyone was visible and giving a rather clear message to clear out. It almost felt like being in an episode of "The Prisoner". However, it does certainly make it a great family oriented evening for folks and West End residents have their peaceful neighbourhood back.
Again, not a speck of garbage this morning.
