"A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers" by Xiaolu Guo
I found this in our local library here in the recent acquisitions part and it looked interesting. It also had a good blurb by Amy Tan who wrote the Joy Luck Club which I enjoyed a lot. The author sounded pretty interesting. She graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and wrote several books in published in China. Apparently this is the first book she wrote directly in English. Seems she has also gained quite a reputation as a film maker.
I really liked the book. It's about language, different cultures, and human relationships. Very worth a read...I think I'll make it a book club suggestion.
