Some how this didn't get posted this morning....

There was also an exhibit of women working in glass at the Art Museum.  I liked the works very much but do wonder about "all women" shows.  A recent women's jazz festival in PS didn't do so well.  I had to laugh at McCall Smith in Corduroy Mansions which I am currently reading.  There is a dog who lost his job as a sniffer dog at the airport because of affirmative action.  The powers that be decided the sniffer dogs had to be equally male and female.

The new hotels being built across from the Museum seem to be taking shape.

Yesterday Jim brought these treats from this wonderful French bakery here...a pain au chocolat and a cheese baguette.

More finds at Steinmart....these seemed rather mid Century modern.  Jim says the pants look like I've been using them as painting clothes.

I do love the sparkles on the bottom of these cropped pants.

Lucked in today at book nooks and thrift stores

We began with In and Out burgers....double, double, animal style as you recommend, Richard!  And Dad had a neapolitan shake.

This was in front of the thrift shop where I bought my golf clubs.

We got some real finds at La Quinta Library book nook.

Poem by E.E. Cummings and art by Marc Chagall...perfect!

And these were 10 cents each...wow!  I've read them both, of course, but lovely clean editions.

And my matched set of 10 Ram golf clubs and bag for $30.  It will save me bringing my golf clubs back and forth.  I may hit better with these than my $500 driver and $300 fairway wood I had especially made. Well,  I got a hole-in-one with the driver so it owes me nothing.

And back home....an art installation I will look forward to seeing!

THE FIGHT FOR UGLY OR WHY ART CAN'T SELL CONDOS

When I look around our PS home I'm very proud of all the perfectly good things we saved,  reworked, and integrated into the new things.

The Palm Springs Art Museum

Such a wonderful place...I just love going there!

I know it's a lot of photos but I just adored this exhibit on Latin American Kinetic art...wow!

For this one you had to put on these overshoes to walk through the rooms.  Quite something.

It was quite a weird experience and of course anything with colour appeals to me.

They keep moving my Henry Moore around....now in the lower level where the sculpture garden is.  So,  a good opportunity to see that again.

Henry Moore...mon amour.

Sculpture Garden

I may do something myself with these coloured balls and cacti...perhaps a painting is coming on.

More garden treasures....

These came yesterday...love them!  We may need to paint the door.
