A lovely evening at Cecil Green Park House

The Faculty Women's Club had their end of the year Potluck lsst night and Jim and I enjoyed the great food,  the people, and the amazing setting.  The group has their monthly meetings here as well.  This is a popular venue for weddings and you can certainly see why with the wonderful gardens and views of the ocean and mountains.

One woman we were chatting with told of her wedding 48 years ago here when she and her husband were doing doctoral studies.  At that time the bride and her attendants had a wonderful suite of rooms upstairs to get prepared.  The groom and his groomsmen had to use the furnace room!  This is no longer the case.

The great thing about events here for the club is that it is a three minute drive through the wonderful University Endowment Lands  and I get to park in the Rose Garden Parkade for free when Faculty Women's Club events are on.

I also got inroduced to one of the French Conversation group members and she was very welcoming so I may give that a try in September.  Activities cease for the summer for most groups.

There was a classical guitarist to entertain.

These wonderful blooms are by the parking lot.
