Severe thunderstorm warning?

Well,  it's hard to imagine that happening at the moment with winds calm and a warm sunny day and it's getting close to 4pm.   Ourselves and everybody else decided to get out for a walk and lunch.  Our plan was to go to Stanley's Bar and Grill in Stanley Park at the Stanley Park Pavillion.   Big buses unloading and we learned there was a private event taking up the whole place.  This happens about four times a year so we know now to phone ahead.  It is a pleasant walk and great views of the Rowing Club and the harbour.

So,  the next plan was to walk to The Lift on Coal Harbour.  They were short staffed and at their wit's end trying to seat and get people served.  A pleasant walk and nice views as always but I was getting hungry and didn't seem like any food was going to be arriving anytime soon.  So,  walked home and had leftover Olympia pizza and wine.  Sometimes you just have to throw in the towel.  This is probably the warmest day so far this year and the predication of bad weather coming within hours got everybody out and about.
