Last morning in our old home

As we sat with our mineral water on the balcony (yeah,  I know but we both need clear heads for the last part of this move!) we both felt incredibly blessed to have had this amazing home over the past five years.  Growing up in Vancouver on the East side and being pretty much considered "poor kids" we would have never thought we'd be living like millionaires in the area we have loved all our lives and enjoyed many happy times as kids and teenagers.

Our families brought picnics and parked for free and the kids were entertained all day.  A special treat was stopping at the popcorn man on the way home,  likely right in front of our current apartment as my Dad liked to go to one of the first ones.  One small bag (the only choice were small bags) for the whole family.  I have no idea what the cost was but I know our family finances couldn't have gone for two bags even though we had had a free day with food from home.
