The best doggie bag in the desert

We had lunch at P.J. Changs at The River yesterday. Had a great table outside overlooking the water feature and the temperature was perfect even though it hit 90 F yesterday we ended up being comfortable all day with an early and late swim.

They had a meal for two for $39 which was fabulous. We started with hot and sour soup, then chicken lettuce wrap as an appetizer then main course of Mongolian beef (to die for) and Kung Po Prawns (also fabulous) It included a mini desert as well...great idea.

We took what we couldn't finish home for dinner so it was an easy meal day. As Elaine can testify we keep meals pretty easy around here all the time with dining out and getting great prepared stuff from Trader Joe's.

Usually when you ask to take something home they plunk a styrofoam box on your table and have you fill it yourself. At Changs the waiter came with a cart with attractive little white cardboard boxes (like the old days in Chinese take out) and put the food in and put the boxes in an attractive white with black lettering paper bag. Very classy!

The entrance...just a little over the top with these huge horses I think!

Our table view...we had fun watching the little birds get the crumbs.

Our lunch...yum!
